Living
with Jim and Gayle
April, 2025
The trip home was uneventful. There
was snow in the distance and for a while, on the side of the road but
nothing like last year. The trip takes 2+ days. Going
south, we did it in 2 days. That made for long days. We
planned on doing it in 3 days going north but ended up doing it, again,
in 2 long days.

The house did well while we were gone. However, the hot water
tank did not work. Jim replaced the two heating coils and we were
back to hot showers!

I spent much of my month calling or emailing members of Congress.
Jim and I attended two rallys -- "Hands Off" and "No Kings". It
is frightening and sad what the orange monster and his handlers are
doing to America.

I replaced my old Teflon cookware with new stainless steel cookware.

Jim had to revise the sprinkler system. He is now removing rocks
so that I can expand my garden.

The crazy killdeer came back. They had 3 eggs, then two and then
just one. Then the two adults vanished leaving the one unhatched
egg. During the time they were nesting, we headed off two
incursions by
a red-tail hawk that lives in the nearby willow tree.

Bo had another seizure this month which is worrisome. The vet
still wants to maintain him at his current phenobarbital level.
We've put him on Apoquel for his constant itching. It has been
amazingly effectivein relieving his itching. He has a sedated
dental at the end of the month.
